 AYSO Gold Minimize

AYSO Gold is AYSO Region 1046’s Select Team program. AYSO Gold emphasizes player development in a positive learning environment under AYSO’s six core philosophies. AYSO Gold teams play competitively with teams across the Valley and beyond, against both Club teams and AYSO Allstar teams from other AYSO regions. Players are selected for teams through open tryouts held prior to each season.

Player Development
AYSO Gold emphasizes player development.

  • Teams are trained by certified coaches with planned practices.
  • Rosters are kept small to maximize learning opportunities and ensure players get as much field time as possible.
  • Each player is required to play at least half of each game.
  • AYSO emphasizes good sportsmanship from players, coaches, and parents.
  • Competitive games are scheduled to hone player’s skills.
Coaches and Referees
All AYSO Gold coaches are trained and certified (see coach bios below). All AYSO Gold matches are officiated by a certified referee crew. AYSO Gold, like our AYSO core program, is volunteer-run. Team parents contribute in various roles including team manager, treasurer, registrar, photographer, etc.

AYSO Gold Tryouts for the 2010-2011 Season
